NCFC today launched their new appeal to help the off-the-field education of their academy stars. The plan, unveiled at Colney today, attempts to raise £250,000 in order to firstly build classrooms, and then secondly to furnish them with state of the art equipment.

Darren Eadie has agreed to be the patron of the scheme and spoke of the immense benefits of behind able to assist players from both a visual and a practical angle.

The scheme, kicked off by a £5,000 donation from contruction company RG Carter, will benefit from all monies that are donated to the academy from traditional existing sources (e.g.FONCY and NCISA) and general supporters can assist in any number of ways from purchasing new merchandise to purchasing one of the many offers available, such as the ability to 'train with the stars.' Individuals can also support the acadamy via their NCISA memberships. There are also possibilities for the business sector to assist via matchday sponsorships and other initiatives including 'yella numbers.'
